Free Photography Planner Printable

Hello everyone.

Today I am giving you all a free photography planner printable.

I created this because I wanted to keep track of my photography and to photography everyday, and when I searched for one there was none. They only had ones for photographers who have businesses to keep track of clients and such, but I wanted one to just have it for monitoring if I photograph everyday and to write down any notes.

This is also the first one of this set... I call it the 'Productive Girl Planner.' There are many more to come.

My 5 Favorite Free Printable Calendars

Hey all!

I know we are 5 months into the year, but there may be some people who want to print some monthly calendars and all. So, today I'm going to post links to my five favorite FREE printable calendars. The one's I'm putting up are all one month per page, that has room to write for each day, because that is important for planning. :)

First we have Miss Tiina's 2013 calendar. I love her calendars, they are so cute. Her simple patterns and colors just show how designing a calendar, planner or whatever doesn't need to incorporate loads of elements to make it look good. She includes a notes section and a little calendar of the month before and after to make all of our lives easier.

Miss Tiina also has loads of other free printables on her website; she does a lot of them for project life and digital scrapbooking. There are also ones that you can purchase if you want, but she has many free ones that are just fabulous!

Next we have Melissa's 2013 calendar from designeatrepeat. I love her variety of colors and ways to display the months. She also has a cute hand drawn looking outline on all of the calendars (which I love all things that look like they are hand drawn/written).
While Miss Tiina's calendar was more of one to put in a planner or binder, Melissa's is one I would hang up on the wall. It is simpler and I think more suited to be a wall calendar.

Number three we have Katrina at The Organised Housewife. I fell in love with her calendars, mostly because she offers four different varieties of them! You got to give it to her for creating four different calendar sets. This gives you the ability to mix and match them, and since four divides into twelve easily... you can change up the theme every month! The themes go from crazy colors, to more mild and tame ones. :) Also, it has a to-do list on the side of each calendar!

The only thing is you have to add them to a shopping cart and check out (which requires a billing address), which adds and extra step to download, but I just loved them too much to pass up. Plus, she has a bunch of others things to get for free and also things to purchase.

PS. I tested to make sure you could add all four sets to your cart to download... and you can.

Up next is the printables from the elli blog! I think these are super adorable. The different variations of the month, also including the number are just great. The little matching symbols are also very clever. They also included a space for notes/thoughts of the month.

At the elli blog they also have some great DIY tutorials and other free printables. You should totally check them out.

Last, but certainly not least is this funky calendar. Well, maybe it's not all that funky, but it has a different fruit or vegetable each month! Also listing the fruits and vegetables that are in season each month, which could be handy if you like to buy organic, grow your own crops, or just like the freshest and most delicious!

This is also a good calendar (mostly for me) because they have an option to either get it in color or black and white. Because, for people like me, ink is expensive and I have a horrible printer which never lets me print things in color that I want to come out decent (because when I'm printing a random picture in color... it is perfect).

The only negative about this calendar is that it is from about.com... and I never use about.com. But I got to hand it to them, they pulled off a really neat calendar!

If you guys haven't noticed I'm all for simplicity; things that are overly crowded just doesn't please the eye (at least for me).

Oh, and here is an extra! It is a full year calendar that I thought was too cute. If you need a wall calendar to print and put up, this is the one. It comes in three color options, woo hoo!

My Personal Planner with Free Templates! (Part 2)

Hello all! We're all back again for Part 2, for discussing my blog planner and miscellaneous lists! If you missed out on the first part, you can read it here: My Personal Planner with Free Templates! (Part 1).

A blog planner is an important part of a blog, at least for me. It keeps me organized and on track with what I need to do and the posts I want to publish. I have two actual pages that I made for my planner, and then separate sheets to write down extra notes.

My blog calendar is a very important part of my blog; number one in fact. I schedule my posts here, at least a month ahead of time. It is good for when I need to take a quick glance at what I am going to post for the week, reminds me of what to write, and it lets me take a larger look on my posting schedule and topics, to see if I have a variety. I already have a schedule of what type of topics I am posting on each day; which is Mondays, I post (or will try to) printable templates with either a blog post along with it or not. Wednesdays will be for tips, tricks, or DIY projects, and lastly Fridays are miscellaneous, for whatever else that comes across that doesn't fit into those first two topics! I might even post on other days, for example I am planning on doing a post on Mother's Day (which is this coming Sunday).

So as you can see, this blog calendar is a priority for those of you who want to plan your blog.

This next page is where I brainstorm my posts, I have just a lined sheet of paper where I list my possible ideas and future topics, but this page is where the magic happens. I write down my original idea (the one I thought up), and then below has a possible title I would want to put... sometimes it is the same as my idea, and other times it is completely different. After I have a few lines to plan out and write what I could possible post. I will write a summary or just some brief words to remind me when I am writing my posts. Usually once I write something down I can remember it forever, but at least it's there if I need it. Also I put a scheduled question, and then the date that it is scheduled for. I didn't include this in my sheet (which for my next one I need to include), but I write a 'T' next to the ones that I am including a template with (like this one for example).

I also have another blank sheet of paper with the planner theme I am working on. I write down all the colors and fonts I'm using (for future reference, just in case). After I write down what content I want to include (checking them off as I make them) and a place to write down when I plan to release them.

I am going to release the first of my new planner set next week!

Lists, I love lists, and that is why I have a section for them.

I also love music, so that's why I made a list for that! I always forget what music I want to download, so a list is a perfect place to keep track of that for me. It has a place for the title (either a whole album or just one song), and then the artists name. Then as I am going to go download songs, rather than think... "What was that song I wanted to download?" BAM, it is right there in my list.

This one is basically a shopping list, but for more than just food. It gives you a place to write what item you need to buy, where you can buy it, why you need to buy it (because if there isn't a good reason... you don't need it!), and then an average price that you either find online or in an ad, or just the maximum amount you're willing to spend. It gives you a good look at all the things that you need or want to buy. And since you write down where you could buy it, you can group up all of those things when you are going to one of the stores (say a drug store), and get them all at once... if you have the money.

Now this one is a silly one, I know, but I wanted a place to record things that my boyfriend says, or that I say (because I say some pretty ridiculous things!). This one is pretty self explanatory .. you write the date, then what was said and by whom.

Now I have a few extra pages in this section... mostly because I didn't have a proper section for them, YET!

This isn't one of your general expense trackers, it is just for me to keep track of the expenses that can be applied for tax deductions, so food and entertainment aren't tracked (which is what we spend most of our money on :P). I have tried to keep track and cut down on our spending, but we love to enjoy life, not stress about it. So I have categories of what can be deducted, and a few spaces below to put down what and where things were bought. I also keep all of those receipts in a folder... somewhere....

Then I have my project planning worksheets, which helps me plan out different projects that I'm working on... whether it be for school or personal reasons. There is a space to write the project title, what it is for, and then a date started and ended space. Then you have a place for description and notes, maybe writing what in general there is to do, when it is due or when you want to be done with it, and other things like that. A supplies list for all the supplies that you think you will need, and a place to check them off if you have them. There is also a brainstorming section, when you plan out which way you want to proceed with the project. If you already know exactly what is going to be done, you don't need to use this for that, you can use it for something else! Maybe drawing a picture of the finished project. Lastly, there is a to do list, to write down what steps need to be done to complete the project.

There you have it, my last few sections described to you! I plan on making more sheets, maybe to revamp my planner, or add to it, and I will share it with you all as I do it. I hope you like my planner. :)

Here are a few more printables that I promised.. again as I said in Part 1, I had to change the font because the one I used for my planner is only for personal use. If you want the font it's called CK Jot from Creating Keepsakes

Sheet Protectors: Why They Need to be Redesigned

Have you ever been using a product and just thought that the design is flawed and needs to be fixed?! That has happened to me many times actually, my most recent find was sheet protectors.

Why?

Because they stick out, and not just a little bit. Almost a WHOLE INCH!

Now, why is this a bad thing you say? Well...

I bought these sheet protectors for my planner; for the month pages, and the pages that don't need to be written on. I put them in all excited, thinking "Yay, they will be protected forever!" But no, they stuck out and when I would close my planner, the first few sheet protectors got all bent and folded. Then the second problem was thinking about dividers, now how much longer did I have to make the dividers for them to be visible? Too long, they would be destroyed when lugging around my planner in my bag.

Not wanting to be discouraged (and also not wanting to waste the money I just used to buy these), I came up with a plan: cutting off the pre-made holes and then punching holes in the actual sheet protector and sliding a hole punched sheet into there. I thought my idea was just brilliant, wondering why no one had come up with this solution!

Now punching holes in the sheet protector was a mission in itself. It is flimsy and stretchy, so you could just imagine. When the moment came to put my page inside, guess what happened? The holes didn't line up. I was furious! Because of maybe a centimeter of space that is at the bottom, and since I'm OCD, this didn't work. I could have cut off the bottom and tried again, but I was done with that.

I came up with a second solution: using the sheet protectors as dividers! WA-LA! It wasn't a perfect idea but it worked. I didn't have to do any cutting, pasting, taping, or measuring to make actual dividers. I placed labels on the sides, and since they are see through, you can see all the other labels. I was also thinking if I ever had a stray papers lying around, they would be the perfect place to put them, in an organized fashion.

Don't get me wrong, the first few sheet protectors still get bent, but there aren't any pages in there so I didn't really care. I used my sheet protectors, I made dividers... it was a win/win.

Do you use sheet protectors in your planner?

Because I would really like to know how other people have solved this problem!

Thank you all for reading! :)

My Personal Planner with Free Templates! (Part 1)

In the beginning of April I was strolling around Pinterest and I absolutely fell in love with leather planners. I said to myself, "I need one!" But the problem was, I had tried planning before, and it never quite worked out.

I went onto Amazon and Ebay the following day and started searching for leather personal organizers, I gave in to the temptation and I bought myself a nice, sturdy leather planner (and a hole puncher to go with it).

leather-organizer-planner

So, I bought myself a planner, now what? I told myself I would plan, whether I liked it or not.

Figuring that I would hate the pages that came with the planner (and I did), I started designed my own pages with InDesign. I made them simple with no colors (because I have the worst printer in the world). I made tons of templates that would work for me, fitting around what I need, discarding what I don't.

When my planner finally came, I printed all of my pages and BAM! I got right to it (disregarding that fact that the hole puncher hadn't come yet and I couldn't actually put any of the pages into it).

How I Use My Planner

I have six main sections: Daily Planner, Things to Do/Dailies, Blog Planner, Misc. Lists, Photography Planner, and Notes.

In my daily planner I have it divided by months, with a year view at the beginning.

My week views are 1 page each, so they total to 2 weeks per page, which saves paper and space. And I have 3 different week views; the traditional week view, a food log, and then a daily journal. They are one after another, not separated by type.

The food log isn't a huge complicated one that tracks calories and such (which I tried once, and it was too much work) it is simple, just write down generally what I eat and how many glasses of water I have per day.

Then the daily journal just highlights the good and bad points in my day, to remember (because I have horrible memory, and I have been wanting to do this for a very long time).

My things to do/dailies section I have then divided as such; I also have my project planner pages in this section, and a divider that goes along with it.

I have a general master to do list, which holds all of the things that need to be done, but not for a specific day (sometimes I'll write when something should be done by next to it).

Then there is a daily to do list page, where I have a priorities side, and a general. Putting things that absolutely need to be done under the priorities section.

The dailies page is where I track things that need to be done on a daily basis, from Sunday to Saturday, and I check things off as they are finished (I handwrite all of them in, adding new ones occasionally).

Wait for Part 2 where I will discuss my blog planner and my section with miscellaneous lists!

I have also provided you with my monthly and weekly planner, along with my dailies page! Click on the links below for the ones you wish to download! (Sorry you guys, I had to change the original font because the one I was using is only for personal use; if you want the font it's called CK Jot from Creating Keepsakes).

What Planning Galore is All About!

Hello everyone, my name is Sarah... nice to meet you!

I just wanted to create my first post to introduce Planning Galore to you all, to explain a bit what you will see featured here.

Firstly, just to make sure we're all on the same page, this will be mostly a blog about planning. There will also be posts about organizing (which falls into a similar category), and maybe some craft/diy posts. I will also briefly take you into my life to show you my days, either how well they went planned... or the opposite.

I mostly want to focus on making printables for you all! The majority of them will be free, but eventually I want to start selling them, but I promise they will be reasonably priced!

My goal is to post 3 times a week, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (so expect the next post on Wednesday!). I might do other days as well, when I want to share certain days with you all.

Many posts are already planned out for this blog (for the month of May), so expect to see loads of content coming your way! I have printables ready, tips and tricks, my personal opinion on things and more!
